WoW in Trouble?

Turns out that when your game is all about level grinding to cap and running end-game raids, if you don’t produce expansion packs and raise the level cap often enough, people may get bored. Huh…. 600,000 subscribers have put their accounts on hold. That seems like a lot, but there are over 11 million subscribers to WoW. Blizzard can handle it. These subscribers are mostly likely to return to Azeroth when another expansion comes about, but in the meantime, they are trying out other games, and may find something else they prefer (like DDO?).

Speaking of these other games, over 1.5 million people have signed up to play the beta for The Old Republic.  Also, Nintendo just registered an ESRB rating for “Zelda Universe.” The only details we know for now are: it is an E game (for everyone), it is online, and it has violence. Rumor has it that this is a future MMORPG since there is no console listed next to the title. Look for an announcement at the upcoming E3.

Duke Nukem Forever

There’s a Q&A over at Gamespot along with a quick video covering some of the main weaponry, if you’d like to take a look.
